Murlo is a small village nestled between the Merse Valley and Val d’Arbia in the province of Siena. In its quaint town center is the Etruscan Museum, Antiquarium of Poggio Civitate, which houses some of the most significant artifacts from the Poggio Aguzzi Necropolis (seventh century BC). Located only 27 km south of Siena, it makes an ideal day trip from Siena and Montepulciano and Montalcino.
