From the 20th of November to the 26th of December 2021, the biggest Christmas market in central Italy is back! The city of Arezzo’s central Piazza Grande will be transformed into a “Tyrolese Village”.

Numerous attractions and events will transform Arezzo into a Christmas wonderland for more than a month.

At the heart of the event is the Tyrolese Village Christmas market just like the ones in northern Italy, Germany, and Austria.

“Christmas Brick” Village will also be back again this year for the young and old alike with over 400 square meters of space dedicated to Lego bricks.

The Christmas market will be filled with stands and artisans offering up everything you can think of related to the Holidays and gifting. Not to mention the droves of culinary stands where you can taste and purchase typical Tyrolese products, such as cured meats, cheeses, sweets, and the ever-popular Vin brulè.

By popular demand, the Tyrolese Lodge is also back. It will host a dining area serving up typical Tuscan and Tyrolese dishes and beer recreating the atmosphere of a true mountain chalet.

Santa Claus’ house is, of course, a must for children of all ages located inside the Palazzo di Fraternita, between Piazza Grande and the parish church. You can also pose for a picture with the brightest Santa in Italy! This giant Santa is lit up with over 100,000 LED lights!
Children can visit all the rooms and take part in the activities and the workshops organized by Santa Claus’ helpers. Santa Claus will be there too with his mailbox ready to receive Christmas letters.

But that’s not all! The light projections in Piazza Grande are mesmerizing! Experience the emotion of the “Big Light Show”.
